BEFORE HEADING FOR MEXICAN WATERS….
Mexico’s crystal clear blue waters are by far one of the best destinations for anyone wanting to get their fishing game on! But before making the decision and getting your gear ready, you need to make sure your paperwork is in order! Let’s start by talking a little about permits. Did you know that any fishing boat on Mexican waters is required to have a sport fishing license for every single member aboard? You can request one of these permits for one day, one week, one month, or one year. According to SAGARPA, the Agriculture, Stockbreeding, Rural Development, Fishing and Food Ministry, this license allows you to capture only fish, not crustaceans or mollusks whose capture is strictly prohibited. Squids are an exception to this rule. If you are looking to capture ground fish, only four fish hooks in a vertical line are permitted.
Here at Mexico Simplificado, our concierge service will make this process a breeze for you, so you can focus on getting ready for your trip! We know this can be a real handful, so let us help you today!
AND THE QUESTION IS….WHY MEXICO?
The question should actually be “why not Mexico?” If you haven’t made a trip out to our Southern neighbor’s beautiful waters, what are you waiting for? Mexico is one destination you simply cannot keep off your list if you’re looking for an unforgettable adventure. Get your boat ready and head over to countless places that Mexico has to offer like Cabo San Lucas. This coastal city in Baja California is known around the world for its Sportfishing! After a full day of fishing, Cabo offers an amazing nightlife you can enjoy, so make sure you pack a nice outfit for pictures! According to a Forbes article, Mexico is the go-to destination for tourists coming from the United States.
Furthermore, the food in Mexico is award-worthy! It really is… you can check for yourself! UNESCO (the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) added traditional Mexican cuisine to the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2010. Now that’s saying something! The people, the music, the breathtaking views, the culture…the list goes on. Just let us get your paperwork ready while you gather your fishing gear and then you are good to go!
